In his follow up to the jazzy, poppy, funky and boppy  collection titled “Blip Blop,” studio whiz Keith Kehrer keeps the grooves coming, this time with a grindy, funky silver platter of sound serving up luscious percolating electronic percussion, deliciously nostalgic electric pianos in the form of Fender Rhodes patches, flirtatious brasslike patches, and groovy, pulsing bass lines. “Bedroom Mixes” is soothing and enticing, futuristic yet retro — and despite the titular relation to music of “blue” movies, the twelve tunes on this disc are suitable for much more than mere libidinal rise and release. Launch it in the music player of your favorite gas guzzling Nixon-era sedan, cruise around town a bit, and you might just experience a mental time shift into a vibe reminiscent of your favorite ’70s drama series – - as refracted off the convex mirror of the formidable 21st century imagination of Mr. Kehrer. ”Bedroom Mixes” is also great for home, in the office, or anyplace else that would benefit from the vibrant and relaxed ambient mood it inspires.
